A Novel Fibonacci Windows Model For Finding Emerging Patterns Over Online Data Stream

by Tb. Mohammad Akhriza

Patterns i.e. the itemsets whose frequency increased significantly from one class to another are called emerging patterns (EP). Finding EP in a massive online data streaming is a tough yet complex task. On one hand the emergence of patterns must be examined at different time stamps since no one knows when the patterns may be emerging; on another hand, EP must be found in a given limited time and memory resources. In this work a novel method to accomplish such task is proposed. The history of itemsets and their support is kept in a novel data window model, called Fibonacci windows model, which shrinks a big number of data historical windows into a considerable much smaller number of windows. The emergence of itemsets being extracted from online transactions is examined directly with respect to the Fibonacci windows. Furthermore, as the historical windows are recorded, EP can be found both in online and offline mode.

Text Clustering Using Frequent Contextual Termset

by Tb. Mohammad Akhriza

We introduce frequent contextual term set (FCT) as an alternative concept of term set construction for text clustering which is produced from the interestingness of documents. Comparing to state-of-art term set, the proposed approach has some advantages: (1) more efficient in term set production (2) more effective in storing the vocabulary amongst documents which express the context amongst documents and (3) more suitable to discover specificity of dataset. To utilize FCT we also introduce frequent contextual term set based hierarchical clustering (FCTHC) which adopts the concept of cancroids in K-means with some main differences. The experiment shows that FCT is the correct pattern to perform text clustering and FCTHC provides flexible approach in clusters construction.

Hyperbolic Tree For Effective Visualization Of Large Extensible Data Standards

by Tb. Mohammad Akhriza

Large data standards specify tens of thousands of data elements that have intricate relationships. Without effective visualization, it is extremely difficult to understand such large data standards. This is further exacerbated when users are allowed to extend data standards, which in effect produces multiple versions of data standards. In this research, we develop a hyperbolic tree based visualization technique that uses different colors of node labels to distinguish different groups of relationships. Edge colors are also differentiated to visualize extensions to a given standard. The technique is applied to a real-world financial reporting data standard called the XBRL GAAP Taxonomy. Ongoing research will further enhance the technique and evaluate its effectiveness in helping users understand large data standards.

A Research About Frequent Contextual Termset

by Tb. Mohammad Akhriza

One of problems in frequent pattern (FP) mining is how to reduce the number of patterns in collection which usually are in huge numbers. To solve the problem, two classes of approximate frequent pattern i.e. closed frequent pattern and maximal frequent pattern have been proposed. In fact, the number of closed frequent pattern is still very huge and leads to ineffectiveness and inefficiency when exploring the patterns. In contrast, the number of maximal frequent term set (MFT) in collection is usually smaller than closed frequent itermset(CFT). MFT is able to represent long or specific term sets in dataset and useful in some data mining area. Our previous work has introduced a novel notion about frequent contextual term set (FCT). The number of FCT's pattern in collection is much smaller than CFT's and this is an advantage of using FCT. In this paper we present our further investigation about FCT compared to CFT and MFT. The investigation is aimed to figure out the position of FCT among........

SECURE KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT CONFIDENTIALITY TRUST AND PRIVACY

by Tb. Mohammad Akhriza

Knowledge is one of the most important assets for an organization or a company. The knowledge in a company is the intellectual capital which could make the company keeps alive and competitive. As an important asset, the company’s knowledge should be managed securely. In this paper, the author limits the discussion of the aspect of secure knowledge management to confidentiality, trust and privacy. For confidentiality, author discusses Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and Usage Control (UCON). Then we move to discuss the trust management and negotiation and stress the topic to trust negotiation (TN). Finally the author discusses about the privacy management. The conclusion is because the knowledge management is an important asset of organization as the intellectual capital, so security has to be incorporated into the knowledge-management lifecycle especially on integrating security strategy with knowledge management and business strategies of an organization.

SOM BASED ASSURANCE ASSESSMENT FOR INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN ORGANIZATION

by Tb. Mohammad Akhriza

Information Security Management System (ISMS) has a lot of standards such as ISO/IEC 27001. In order to assess the quality assurance of ISMS, an organization should design and implement some mechanism. I propose a mechanism for quality assurance assessment using Kohonen’s Self Organizing Map (SOM). SOM is a means for automatically arranging high-dimensional statistical data so that alike inputs are in general mapped close to each other. The resulting map avails itself readily to visualization, and thus the distance relations between different data items can be illustrated in an intuitive manner. This proposal shows that the proposed framework is able to be conducted and implemented. Through this map, the organization will be able to assess how far the organization’s information security quality has gap with the standard. Not only ISMS ISO’s standard, but also another standard such as Indonesian National Board of Accreditation (BAN-PT).
